DJ W!LD & DJEBALI at EDEN BEACH CLUB

And we are back, FRIDAY the 25th of DEC, on the bill, ringmasters DJ W!LD & DJEBALI.

FACTS:

A Parisian club kid in the early 00s, Djebali has evolved into one of today’s most accomplished house producers from the city’s new generation of talent, launching his self-titled imprint in 2011 and introducing two more successful offshoots only two years later.

Developing a taste for deep and groovy house, Djebali cut his teeth at some of the finest hangouts in Paris, first backed by Terence:Terry: at the hyped After Party Is Not A Crime nights, before making numerous appearances at Rex Club and holding a residency at the Freak n’Chic Batofar parties between 2008 and 2010. Further afield, Djebali has brought his bounce and charisma to the likes of the forever legendary Bar25 in Berlin and the red Terrace at Ibiza underground favourite Circoloco DC10.

On the production front, Djebali caught the attention of none other than Jay Haze. Totally charmed by Djebali’s warm and fluid style, his first EP ‘Fanfare’ was released on Jay’s label Tuning Spork in 2008. Releases on Freak n’Chic followed, the inaugural label of quality Parisian house talent, delivering his 4 track ‘LAX EP’ to wide critical acclaim. With ‘Sorry, I Missed The Sky’, Djebali further cemented his signature smooth, organic house sound.

2011 saw the launch of ( djebali ), a limited vinyl series of only his music, produced, arranged and mixed exclusively on analogue gears. The independent creative outlet can boast this is house music as fresh as it comes, hot from the studio straight onto ( djebali ) wax. In 2013 came two offshoots; ( djebali ) presents, a platform for deep house artists which debuted with the top selling EP by Mr KS, and ( djebali ) reworks, a series of established artists and friends remixing the ( djebali ) back catalogue, the debut edition featuring Christian Burkhardt and Hreno & the Mole.

As a prolific remixer himself Djebali has added his touch to Jozif on Culprit LA and Inland Knights on Homecoming Music, whilst his freshest work is for Popcorn Records, Gipsy Music, Jef K’s Silver Network, Tucillo’s Unblock and none other than Chez Damier’s label Balance. Teaming up with another house legend in 2014, Djebali’s defining track ‘Reputation’ was stripped back and given an eerie twist by POINT G for a one-off special repress.

Pushing the scene forward in his hometown, Djebali has brought the likes of The Mole, Premiesku, dOP, Bill Patrick and The Martinez Bros to Paris for his residency party Ideal Juice, now hosted at the infamous Rex Club. As always he continues as an international player with gigs taking him as far afield as Womb Tokyo to Kazantip, whilst the summer months will see Djebali relocating once again to the White Isle, sure to be found at his beloved DC10 Ibiza.

DJ W!LD’s rise to prominence was no overnight phenomenon. Without hype or fanfare, he has grown from hero of the Parisian underground to resident at some of the world’s most acclaimed clubs, with an expansive discography backing up his formidable DJing skills. Since he began making music, his infectious and inventive house, tech and acid productions have graced the likes of Robsoul, OFF Recordings, One Records, Crosstown Rebels sub label RebelLION and many others, whilst his own imprint W serves as a welcome home for much of his finest material.As the Frenchman’s stock in the production world rise, so too has DJ W!LD grow in status as a DJ, with Circoloco snapping him up as DC10 resident in 2009 and Sven Väth inviting him to join the Cocoon family not long after. Sonar, Fabric and Panoramabar have been just a few of the other highlights from his hectic touring schedule. As the years roll on, DJ W!LD continues to innovate, with new and exciting EPs and LPs always appearing on a regular basis and ranging from house to downtempo and plenty in between. His other label, Catwash records, also continues to be a bastion of high quality electronic music that releases fresh EPs as well as carefully curated compilations and is much loved as a result.
