Sir Syed Day | India – UAE Summit

Vertex Events, in association with the Alumni of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), is organizing an exclusive Alumni Meet on 17 October 2026 at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, Airport Road, Dubai.

Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was established in 1920 and is one of India’s leading and most prestigious institutions of higher education, with a distinguished legacy of academic excellence and a strong global alumni network. The university traces its origins to the vision and efforts of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, whose birth anniversary is celebrated by AMU alumni around the world every year on 17 October as Sir Syed Day.

The university also shares a special historical connection with the UAE. His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE, visited Aligarh Muslim University, reflecting the longstanding ties and mutual respect between India and the UAE. His association with the university also included support for the establishment of the Petroleum College at AMU.

The Alumni Meet will bring together AMU alumni, distinguished guests, diplomats, business leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs and members of the wider community for an evening of networking, knowledge sharing and celebration of the university’s rich legacy.

The program name will be India – UAE Summit (Sir Syed Day) will feature three distinguished speakers, who will share their experiences, insights and perspectives with the alumni and guests.

The event will be a ticketed program, with registration and participation details to be announced separately.
