Grammy award winning dance-hall legend, Walshy Fire, performs at Pacha Dubai on Thu 5th May 2016!

2015 saw unstoppable success for Major Lazer, with the dancehall trinity topping charts across the globe.
Their number one hit “Lean On,” became the worlds most streamed song, with the video boasting over a 1 billion YouTube views!

“Right now, the Major Lazer thing, the energy is amazing and I love it,” says Walshy Fire. “Touring with Major Lazer this year has already been an incredible experience, but I cannot wait to bring my own special blend and sounds to the audience in Dubai”.
Highly renowned and respected throughout the dance hall music scene as the MC and selector for Miami’s Grammy winning Black Chiney Sound System, Walshy joined Major Lazer to be the DJ & MC of the genre-bending dancehall act in 2012, and has since toured alongside Diplo &The Jillionaire, and other members of the group.

Originally from Jamaica, Walshy had the #1 show in Miami radio for ten years running. As an MC he toured for 9 years with the trailblazing Black Chiney sound system cited as a significant influence on the evolution of Major Lazer with its “mash ups” that blended hip hop or R&B rhythms with reggae artist vocal tracks.

If 2015 had a sound, then it would belong to Major Lazer.

Walshy Fire is a dance-hall legend whose influence helped catapult Major Lazer to their current super-act status.
