The Laughter Factory announces ‘We are going to hell’ tour

With a list of TV credits as long as the Sheik Zayed road, from Nextflix to BBC1, this months Laughter Factory line up, includes comedy superstars Markus Birdman, Carey Marx and Andrew Ryan.
One of our biggest gigs of the year, with three top comedians, on tour for five gigs throughout Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Guaranteed to make you laugh until it hurts, Markus Birdman never fails to have the room in pieces. Watch him shine on Netflix, but bear in mind,the screen is no substitute for live stand up. ‘Don’t miss the real thing!’, warns Gail Clough, The Laughter Factory promoter, who tries to watch as little comedy on line as possible. ‘It’s like having a bath with your clothes on, you can’t really enjoy it. Carey Marx

This year Carey turned 50. We fear our birthdays all year round and when they come we celebrate. We drink alcohol and eat cake, celebrating being alive by doing things that will speed up our deaths. A show about indulgence and like all fun things, it’s probably not good for you.

Through tales of an upside down birthday, bears that fall on foreigners, a stranger who made Carey watch her clean her ears out, temporary alien arm syndrome, and an obscenely sexual plane hijacking, Carey develops his new life Theory of Unimportance. In this search for humility, Marx discovers he’s humbler than everybody else on this earth. A true hero of the people.

Marx concocts his own blend of dark humour with mischief and glee. His willful disregard for the controversial and taboo is tempered with his ability to find joy in the most unexpected places. An international multi-award winner, Carey is no stranger to screen or radio with credits ranging from Channel 4’s Gas to BBC One’s The Stand Up Show as well as his own radio sitcom Intensive Carey (BBC Radio 4) adapted from his wildly successful 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe show of the same title in 2015. With such a unique voice it is no surprise that Marx has written for the likes of Newzoids (ITV) and Nick Doody’s Bigipedia (BBC Radio 4). Andrew Ryan

Andrew’s quintessentially Irish storytelling abilities and cheeky, friendly demeanour make him a natural observational stand up. He performed his debut hour show ‘Ryanopoly’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012, receiving rave reviews (‘Illuminating debut ★★★★’ - The Metro). In 2014 he returned with his latest show 'The Life of Ryan' playing to packed out rooms ('Going to be a huge star ★★★★' - Timeout). In 2015 he was at the Edinburgh Festival with his latest show 'Perfectly Inadequate'.
