Terrible

Venue was terribly poor. The sound in the room was awful being unable to hear the vocals. Also the vast emptiness of the room resulted in a lot of echo distorting the songs.

I phoned the venue a few days before the event to confirm there would be a warm up act, which they confirmed, so we arrived a little later and discovered there was no warm up act and we had missed most of the performance. The details stated ending at 11pm when it ended before 10pm, resulting in us having to wait outside for over an hour for our arranged transport.

The band and the how the organizers organized a line instead of chaotic run from the people waiting when the gates opened.

Very poor sound quality

Hailing from Southend-on-Sea in Essex, England, Nothing But Thieves makes passionate guitar-based rock that balances indie artfulness with a pop sensibility. They have scored three Top Ten U.K. albums with 2015's Nothing But Thieves, 2017's Broken Machine, and 2020's Moral Panic. They followed the latter's success with a sequel EP, Moral Panic II, and in 2023 they topped the U.K. Albums Charts with the full-length Dead Club City.

Formed in 2012, Nothing But Thieves features singer Conor Mason, guitarist Joe Langridge-Brown, guitarist Dominic Craik, bassist Philip Blake, and drummer James Price.

The group gained early attention with several EPs in 2013. In 2015, Nothing But Thieves released their self-titled debut album with the latter reaching number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. Nothing But Thieves would eventually break into the Top 15 of the Billboard Alternative, Heatseekers, and Rock Album charts.

The Dubai show will be part of the Welcome To The DCC World Tour.
