Being a resident DJ is much more than just being able to beatmatch and select great music. There's an art to being the person who warms up a crowd properly while still leaving them wanting more, especially when a guest is booked for the party

Residents are the corner stone of any good party, the selectors that start and close the night warming up the room for international and guests month by month.

On the 10/03/16 we welcome two of our favourite local selectors to the Cuts family both of who need very little introduction.

Kristian Valdini

Long in the tooth and short of hair Kristian has been playing and promoting in Dubai since 2006 and has held some standout residences at some of Dubai's best clubs, known for both his awesome sunset sets as well as his peak time sets, often including some of his own special re-edits and cuts.

After the awesome warm up set for our Ashley Beedle party there was no other choice and we know Kristian will do the business.

Simon Reid

It's difficult choosing resident DJs, people you believe will fit the vibe of the party but also bring that extra something, however one name was a definite when we were talking about it at Cuts towers. After playing a wicked set at the Cuts Above x MustHaveSoul label launch party a few months back, we have asked good friend, label boss and digital guru Simon Reid to reconsider his early retirement and join the Cuts family. Si brings a world of knowledge behind the decks as co-founder, label owner and resident of MustHaveSoul with his sets deftly joining the dots between disco, house, soul and everything in between.
