The Fridge Presents - Metal Fest II in Dubai

The Fridge presents Metal Fest II, featuring four of the UAE's most compelling metal bands: Triton, Salt Tooth, Culture of Complain, and Metarust. Most people think they know what metal sounds like, but the reality is far more nuanced and powerful than the stereotype.

This second edition of Metal Fest delivers everything from progressive riff-rock to doom, hardcore punk, and traditional metal, with bands performing original material that reveals the depth and surprising catchiness of the genre.

The UAE has developed its own distinct scene, with this lineup bringing together Indian, Filipino, Arab and Emirati musicians. Dubai's metal community has deep roots, reflecting that what makes metal so special: It isn't music you outgrow. It stays with you, as vital now as it was decades ago. For all of metal's extremes, it's managed to exist outside mainstream culture while still becoming part of it.
