“Egyptian-American Comedian Ahmed Ahmed is the co-creator of the critically acclaimed “Axis Of Evil Comedy Tour” which made history by opening the doors for contemporary, westernized stand up comedy to be accepted in the Arab world. Touring though Egypt, Dubai, Lebanon, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Dubai with over 20,000 people attending their shows, Axis Of Evil was a ground breaking comedy movement for the Middle East. It was also the first ever all Middle Eastern stand up comedy show on Comedy Central in the US and Showtime Arabia thought the Arab world.

Ahmed started his career in Hollywood, Ca spending 25 years working on hit tv shows, films and comedy specials. A marquee performer at The World Famous Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory and The Improv not to mention touring the around world in between all of that. In 2004 he won “The Richard Pryor Award” for ethic comedy at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival and made his directorial debut in 2009 with his winning documentary titled “Just Like Us” that can currently be seen on Netflix.

Last year Ahmed decided to hang up his his guns in tinsel town and head far east relocating to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Since then he has been touring around Asia non-stop performing stand up comedy and sharing his hilarious take and point of view of Asia and what it has to offer. As he likes to put it “Asia is the new black” and is a comedian’s dream when looking for new material to write and talk about sharing his global adventures, specifically his latest perils of living in Asia.

He’s a fish out of water story throwing himself into the deep end of Asia and has since traveled to Thailand, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Vietnam and Jakarta. Even though he’s barley scratched the surface he considers himself an honorary Asian. He stays true to his Middle-Eastern American roots while discovering the wonders of Asia to hilarious effect and calls it “The Laugh Frontier”.
