Global Village is set to celebrate Diwali from 06 to 10 November with a vibrant programme of cultural experiences, festive traditions and entertainment for the whole family.
Adding to the lively atmosphere, the Diwali Mela, in collaboration with India Pavilion, will bring beautiful selection of market experiences at the Commercial Activation area. From shopping for traditional Diwali décor and thoughtful gifts to traditional snacks and treats, guests can find little ways to bring the spirit of Diwali home and make the occasion even more special with their loved ones.
At the Kids Corner, little ones can explore the festival’s creative traditions with Diwali-themed activities including face painting, diya colouring, and rangoli making. Festive “Happy Diwali” signboards will offer picture-perfect moments, while decorative lamp posts along World Avenue will add an extra glow to the destination.
For the first time ever, Global Village will introduce a Baithak on 06 November, celebrating a traditional form of South Asian musical gathering known for its sit-down intimate atmosphere and symphony. Rooted in the joy of shared music, guests can sing along, engage with the performing artists and become part of the experience. Taking place on the Main Stage from 8PM to 9PM, this special first for Global Village will bring the rich musical traditions and celebratory spirit of Diwali to life, in collaboration with City FM.
The celebrations continue on 07 November with a lively line-up ofinteractive games and the chance to win exciting prizes, giving guests even more reasons to gather, play and soak up the spirit of Diwali.
A highlight of the festivities will take place on 08 November at 8PM, when 600 drones illuminate the night sky in a special Diwali-themed drone show. The spectacular display will feature unique formations inspired by the festival of lights above the Stunt Arena and Syria Pavilion, creating a memorable display of light, colour and creativity.
Guests can savour the rich and diverse flavours of India, with authentic cuisine served at restaurants such as Indian Chef and Grand Dhaba, before indulging in the vibrant Indian Chaat Bazaar, a lively food street inspired by the grandeur of a big fat Indian wedding. From tangy pani puri and delicious chaat to comforting pav bhaji, hearty chole bhature, desi noodles and an irresistible selection of mithai, every bite offers a taste of the traditions and flavours that make Diwali so special.
At Global Village, Diwali becomes a celebration shared across cultures and generations, reflecting the destination’s spirit of bringing the world together through its traditions, stories and experiences. Access to all experiences is included within the Global Village entry ticket.
