Edmond at The Junction, Dubai

Transport yourself back to the year 1897 and witness the incredible journey of writer Edmond Rostand as he defies all odds and embarks on the creation of a play that no one believes in. Armed with just a title, "Cyrano de Bergerac," Rostand's remarkable story comes to life in Alexis Michalik's award-winning masterpiece that garnered 5 Molières at its sensational debut in 2017.

Décembre 1897, Paris. Edmond Rostand n’a pas encore trente ans mais déjà deux enfants et beaucoup d’angoisses. Il n’a rien écrit depuis deux ans.

En désespoir de cause, il propose au grand Constant Coquelin une pièce nouvelle, une comédie héroïque, en vers, pour les fêtes. Seul souci : elle n’est pas encore écrite. Faisant fi de caprices des actrices, des exigences de ses producteurs corses, de la jalousie de sa femme, des histoires de coeur de son meilleur ami et du manque d’enthousiasme de l’ensemble de son entourage, Edmond se met à écrire cette pièce à laquelle personne ne croit. Pour l’instant, il n’a que le titre : Cyrano de Bergerac.

How to get there:

By car: Al Serkal Avenue is located in the Al Quoz industrial area of Dubai, and it can be easily reached by car. If you're coming from Sheikh Zayed Road, take the Al Manara exit (exit 43) and turn right onto Al Manara Street. Continue straight until you reach the first intersection and turn right onto 8th Street. Keep driving straight until you reach the roundabout, take the second exit, and continue onto 17th Street. You'll find Al Serkal Avenue on your left.  

By public transportation: To reach Al Serkal Avenue by metro, take the Dubai Metro Red Line and get off at the Noor Bank Station. From there, you can take a taxi or a bus to Al Serkal Avenue, which is just a short drive away.   

By taxi: You can also take a taxi to Al Serkal Avenue from anywhere in Dubai. It's a famous destination and most drivers would be familiar with its location.
