The Lords of the Strings

For the first time in the history of local music in the UAE, 6 of the region's leading guitarits get together on one stage to showcase their craft with their axes (read guitars). These 6 represent the growing legion of musicians that are leading the way in how the UAE local music scene is represented.

The night's headliner is none other than VJ Joseph (Joseph Vijay from India who has for over 3 decades scorched several stages across the world and has played at WOMAD, The Lamer Tree Festival and has even shared stage with legends such as Robert Plant and Eric Clapton.

The others who will lead the line up are:

Alaa Al Faqir from Jordan was formerly with The Alaa Faqir band and The Faqir Syndicate. He is currently putting together his solo band here in the UAE but has more recently become globally recognized for his take on the Pokemon theme song

Venkat NM from India who is a known face on the UAE local music scene, leading guitar work for the Bollywood rock band ROOH

Ashish Shetty from India is one of the most prolific composers and performers in the region today, lead guitarist at Ascendant and chief protagonist at Blood & Iron

Fadi Stanboulieh from Syria is a seasoned largely hidden talent that has earned his stripes over 15 years of classy guitar playing and leads the guitars with melodic metal band Angmar UAE

Tarek Reda from Egypt has played all the stages there are to play and is the 'Reda' part in Carl & The Reda Mafia who have become flag bearers of the UAE funk rock scene having stormed their way through in 2015 including opening for Bon Jovi at Yas Island

Vivian Edward D'souza from India is part of 3 big acts in the UAE, lead guitarist with STEEL, co-composer/songwriter at Vin Sinners and anchorman with Qatar based Naser Mestarihi Naser Mestarihi
